What is Invisalign

Invisalign are clear braces that are custom made to your teeth to gradually straighten teeth without the discomfort associated with metal braces.  They fit over your teeth and work to gently align them while remaining invisible to anyone who doesn’t know you have them.  They are easier to use than traditional braces and can be removed for eating, as long as they are worn for at least 20 to 22 hours per day.  Your dental provider determines the order in which the teeth are straightened, and the trays are periodically replaced to allow gradual correction.  It is a very precise way to align teeth, as we are able to map out the best route to straightness for your individual mouth.

How Do I Get Started With Invisalign?

Make an appointment with us and we can provide an initial consultation that will help determine if Invisalign is right for you.  After the consult, we are able to map out a timeline for your treatment.  At that point, your first set of trays will be created by Invisalign, based on your own bite.  Once they are created, you will receive a little extra instruction and before you know it, you’ll be on your way to a beautiful smile.

How Often Must I see My Invisalign Provider Once I Have Started the Treatment?

After you begin treatment with your Invisalign trays, your dental provider will schedule appointments to monitor the progress of the treatment to ensure the teeth are moving in the manner that they were planned.  If need be, adjustments will be made along the way.

Can Invisalign Close Gaps?

Invisalign is a great solution for closing gaps between the teeth. Depending on the severity of the gap, it can take a different amount of time to correct.  It can be a quick and effective way to close a gap, without disrupting your regular lifestyle.
